Commercial Greenhouses & High Tunnels

Commercial Greenhouses, Built for American Growers

Polyethylene and polycarbonate greenhouses, high tunnels and gutter-connected ranges, engineered to your snow and wind load and built for North America with fast lead times. Many structures are NRCS-eligible for 50 to 90% cost-share.

What is a commercial greenhouse?

A commercial greenhouse is a permanent structure, framed in galvanized steel and covered with polyethylene film, polycarbonate or glass, that lets you control the climate around your crop: temperature, humidity, light and airflow.

A high tunnel (or hoop house) is the simpler, unheated version that mainly extends your season. Both let you grow when the open field cannot, and protect the crop from cold, heat, wind, rain, hail and pests.

What US growers use them for

  • Season extension: start earlier and harvest weeks past the field season.
  • Year-round production of leafy greens, tomatoes and herbs for local markets.
  • Climate control and protection from frost, heat, storms, hail and pests.
  • Higher yield and quality per square foot, often several times field yields.
  • Local, traceable food for retail and foodservice near big cities.

Top US greenhouse crops

The crops American growers protect most under poly and glass.

Leafy greens & lettuce. The fastest-growing greenhouse crop; greenhouse lettuce now competes with California field romaine on the shelf.
Tomatoes. The largest greenhouse vegetable, beefsteak and on-the-vine, grown year-round.
Cucumbers & peppers. High-value crops that run alongside tomato operations.
Strawberries & berries. A fast-growing segment as growers move berries under cover.
Cut flowers & ornamentals. A large, steady market for greenhouse and nursery production.
Cannabis. In legal states, light-deprivation greenhouses for multiple harvests a year.

Where greenhouses grow in the US

The main regions, and why growers build there.

California & Arizona. The largest greenhouse-vegetable acreage and a hub for desert CEA and berry production.
Texas. The current hotspot for large leafy-greens and tomato facilities.
Northeast (PA, NY, CT). Home to the largest CEA leafy-greens campus in the country, with strong season-extension and NRCS demand.
Ohio & the Midwest. A fast-growing CEA corridor close to major population centers.
Florida. High-value protected vegetables, with hurricane-rated structures.
Cannabis states (CO, MI, OK, OR). Light-deprivation greenhouses where cannabis is legal.
Find your fit

Which structure fits your operation

From season-extension tunnels to year-round commercial ranges, we build the structure that matches your crop, climate and budget.

High Tunnel / Hoop House

Unheated season extension for small and mid-size farms. NRCS-eligible, fast to install, and the lowest cost per square foot.

Commercial Greenhouse

Climate-controlled poly or polycarbonate, and gutter-connected ranges above 10,000 sq ft for the most efficient year-round production.

Light-Dep Greenhouse

Automated blackout greenhouses for cannabis, with a full light seal and lighting integration to force flowering and run multiple harvests a year.

Financing & NRCS

NRCS can cover 50 to 90% of your structure

The USDA NRCS EQIP High Tunnel Initiative reimburses most of the cost of an eligible structure. We build to NRCS spec, provide PE-stamped drawings for permitting, and help you through the paperwork.

Every project is different: the cost depends on the structure, covering, ventilation, heating and automation, and on your crop and site. We design and quote each one to fit, so you invest in exactly what you need.

Why a Greenhouse?

Transform Your Farm's Productive Capacity

Inside a finished REGASA greenhouse with the crop in rows

Year-Round Production

Break seasonal barriers. Grow and sell when market prices are highest, regardless of weather.

Climate Control

Regulate temperature, humidity and light. Ideal micro-conditions for each crop at every stage.

Export Traceability

Controlled environments meet international food safety standards for export markets in North America and Europe.

Pest-Free Environment

Reduce pesticide use by up to 50%. Physical barriers against insects and pathogens protect your crop naturally.

Custom engineered

Every greenhouse is one of a kind, engineered for your site

We do not sell a one-size-fits-all greenhouse. Every project is engineered from scratch for your farm: we take the real conditions of your site so the structure holds up, ventilates and produces exactly where you are.

Wind speed

We size the frame and bracing to your local wind load.

Max and min temperatures

Ventilation, shading or heat retention for your climate extremes.

Rain, hail and snow

Roof and load design for the weather your site really gets.

Humidity and airflow

Vent design to control humidity and reduce disease pressure.

Topography and soil

Structure adapted to your slope, terrain and orientation.

Crop and system

Height, span and layout matched to your crop and irrigation.

You get engineered drawings (PE-stamped on request) and a structure built to your numbers, not a generic kit off a shelf.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before investing in a commercial greenhouse.

Does the greenhouse qualify for USDA NRCS funding?
Yes. Many of our high tunnel and greenhouse structures qualify for the USDA NRCS EQIP High Tunnel Initiative, which covers roughly 50 to 90% of the structure cost. It is a reimbursement program: you pay first and NRCS pays after inspection. Beginning, veteran and underserved farmers can get up to 90% cost-share plus a 50% advance. We build to NRCS spec (6 ft minimum peak, documented snow and wind ratings) and help you with the paperwork.
How much does a commercial greenhouse cost per square foot?
There is no single price, because every project is different. A high tunnel is the most economical option, a poly commercial or gutter-connected range costs more per square foot, and a glass Venlo house more still. The final cost depends on the covering, ventilation, heating, irrigation and automation, and on your crop and site. Tell us your size and crop and we will quote your exact project.
What snow and wind load is the structure rated for?
We engineer each structure to your county. The MG Model frame handles winds up to 67 mph (108 km/h) and we design the snow load to your local code, from mild coastal ratings up to 30 to 50+ psf in the snow belt. We provide PE-stamped drawings for permitting on request.
High tunnel or commercial greenhouse, which do I need?
A high tunnel (hoop house) is an unheated, NRCS-eligible structure for season extension on small and mid-size farms. A commercial greenhouse adds climate control, and above about 10,000 sq ft a gutter-connected range is the most efficient per square foot for year-round production. We help you pick based on your crop, climate and budget.
Is the greenhouse made for North America?
Yes. We manufacture and supply for North America, which means short lead times and easy warranty support, unlike high-tech Dutch glass houses that carry long import waits. The steel frame is roughly 30% stronger than standard greenhouse steel and pre-galvanized for a long service life.
Do you build light-deprivation greenhouses for cannabis?
Yes. We offer light-deprivation (blackout) greenhouses with automated curtains so growers can force flowering and run multiple harvests per year, with the full light seal and supplemental lighting integration your operation needs. Availability follows your state regulations.
What crops grow best, and how long is installation?
The structures suit tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, lettuce and leafy greens, strawberries, cut flowers, herbs and nursery transplants. Assembly uses integral profiles and no-weld connectors, so most installations finish in days, not weeks, and our team trains your staff.
